Here’s an example:
We borrow $100k dollars from you for 6 months to purchase a house.  You’d make $1000 right off the top immediately for SLP using your money, and then you would make at 12% approximately (pro-rated to the day paid back) $6000 for lending SLP that money for 6 months! Total Profits to you - $7000 in 6 months, on 100K, that is 14% annualized return on your investment dollar! Does your CD or Mutual Fund do that year in and year out?

We can…

Now Imagine the possibilities…. (This is very realistic, we borrow investor $$ every month to buy houses with CASH)
We borrow $100K from you 6 times next year for 2 months per transaction. That would look like this:
$100K x 1 point x 6 transactions: $6,000 up front profit / return on your investment
$100K x 12% x 2 months x 6 transactions: $1,000 per month x 12 months of borrowing: 12,000 profits.
TOTAL PROFIT for making $100K available to SLP for one year: $18,000 on $100K, or 18% ROI

Where’s the Security?
In the note and deed (see sample) legal documents, and in the guidelines SLP’s business plan has for property purchases.
Example:
If we buy a property that fits SLP LLC’s business guidelines, it will be bought at 70-80 cents on the dollar on average. That means a house with a FMV (Fair Market Value) of 133,333 SLP isn’t going to buy for more than $100K. THAT’S 33,000+ of immediate “build in equity”. Then on top of that, SLP promises to put down 25% of its own money for the purchase of the house, thereby leaving you as an investor paying only 75% of the purchase price, which is on average 75 cents on the dollar. In this example, we would only use $75,000 of your money as a loan to buy this house.
Therefore, should SLP default on the loan/promissory note (and we won’t, we have 25k to lose too!), you would acquire a house legally that you essentially bought for $75,000 and is worth $133,333 that very day.  That is $58,333 you receive in equity, and a 56.25% Loan to Value (LTV).  Now that’s security!
You could easily list a house like that “as-is” for $109-$115K and it would be scooped right up and bought from you on the open market.  No need to know how to rehab a home…you could walk away with approximately $50k profit on your $75k investment if SLP doesn’t perform on the loan.
